begin in Sydney on Tuesday 15 July and conclude on Sunday 20 July. Pilgrims

Journey
of the WYD Cross and Icon
(7 May)
The World Youth Day Cross is similar to the Olympic
Torch Relay, and is being carried throughout Australia after being sent from Rome as a
means of gathering awareness of the celebrations of World Youth Day and what they can
bring to the young people of Australia. I
am interested in being involved in the Journey
of the WYD Cross and Icon
celebrations
Days
in the Dioceses (10 – 14 July)
The
“Days in the Dioceses” Events precede the Sydney WYD celebrations, and will
include a number of events to welcome overseas pilgrims to the Geelong region, and to have
a number of pre WYD events with them. These are open to all, and are a great way of
involving and including those young people in the region who will not be going to Sydney.
